Class of 1929: Jake excelled in baseball and basketball, was B-Association president and was a member of the 1928-29 national championship basketball team. As coach and athletic director at the Indiana School for the Deaf from 1931 to 1968, Jake earned many state and national championships in football, basketball and track. In 1966, ISD named its new gymnasium in his honor. Jake is a member of the Indiana Football and Basketball Halls of Fame. |
